Kimberly Varella, Lisa Anne Auerbach

This weekend is the Venice Beach Biennial. Kimberly Varella, Lisa Anne Auerbach and I made a 32 page publication, a catalog of sorts, for the event. Its available for free down at the beach. For the LA Weekly’s preview of the event, our piece got a little write up.

Writing for Artbound

16 05 2012

I’m a columnist over at KCET’s new transmedia project Artbound.

Every two weeks I’ll be putting up new stories.
My interest includes writing about non-institutional, freaky, challenging, offbeat artworks/projects/happenings. I hope I can find enough to share.
My first story is about Michael Parkers steam egg.

Social Geographers Intimate Mediums- article

14 12 2011

I put together this interview with artists Daniel Tucker and Ryan Griffis this past summer. I was asked to write a piece about geography, art as and new media. The article explores the (perhaps?) slightly low-fi approaches of Daniel Tucker (Area Chicago) and Ryan Griffis (Midwest Radical Corridor).
